Good news — the session we had to postpone is officially back on the calendar.
Build and Ship AI Apps Fast with Logan Kilpatrick
Logan Kilpatrick from Google DeepMind breaks down how he actually moves fast: how he takes initiative without waiting for permission or a perfect spec, how he uses iteration speed as an unfair advantage, and how he decides what's worth building versus what's just busywork. He'll get into the mindset that separates the builders who ship from the ones who stall — and how that same agency shows up in building AI products people actually want, not just AI demos that impress for a week.

Thanks for your patience on the reschedule. This one's worth the wait, especially in the final stretch before the August 17 deadline.
See you there.

Under four weeks left
The submission deadline is August 17, 2026 at 1:00 pm PDT.
The Build with Gemini XPRIZE is awarding $2,000,000 in cash to teams building a real, profitable, AI-native business. Here's exactly what's on the table:
- 1st place: $500,000
- 2nd place: $200,000
- 3rd, 4th, and 5th place: $100,000 each
- 15 runner-up prizes: $50,000 each
- 5 category prizes: $50,000 each — one for each category

Get your submission ready
Every submission is scored on three criteria: Business Viability, AI-Native Operations, and Category Impact. The core requirement: your business operates with AI in one of the five categories — run by AI agents and using at least one Google Cloud product. Make sure your 3-minute video, written narrative, and evidence show that clearly.
A few things worth knowing before the deadline:
- Your demo video, written narrative, revenue evidence, and P&L take most teams several hours to pull together. Don't leave them for the last night.
- Start your project on Devpost now. You can keep editing your project right up until the deadline, so getting a draft in early takes the pressure off.
- Review the full requirements and submit here: https://xprize.devpost.com/
One change to note: we've removed the form question asking you to confirm no single customer exceeds 40% of your revenue. Still required, though: your proof of revenue — a Stripe dashboard export or bank statement and simple P&L (template here) showing revenue and expenses during the hackathon period.
